COACH COTTRELL JOINS HAWK SOCCER


Coach Cottrell Joins Hawk Soccer

The women's soccer program has been a powerhouse on the DFW high school circuit. Led by Coach Eddie Brown who is going on his 25th year at Birdville High School. 

Recently Coach Brown made an addition to his tenured program. Coach Brittany Cottrell will assist the Varsity Soccer program this upcoming year. 

"We are super excited to have added Coach Cottrell to our staff. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our program. I believe she is the perfect fit to our Lady Hawk team, our girls soccer staff, the BISD soccer community, our BHS family, and the entire Hawk Nation!", Coach Brown says emphatically.

Coach Cottrell is a native to the Fort Worth area having graduated from Keller Central HS in 2015, before continuing her academic and athletic career at Ouachita Baptist University. She graduated with a mathematics and secondary education degree while playing all four years of her eligibility. After graduating Cottrell went immediately into coaching at Timbercreek HS in Keller, TX., where she has spent the last four years. Quote from Coach Cottrell, "I'm very excited to join Hawk Nation! I've heard it is a big family and everyone supports each other. I am excited to invest in these girls and do whatever I can to help them succeed at the highest level"

Coach Cottrell is married to husband Jacob Cottrell. She will be teaching Algebra 1 this upcoming school year.
