20 TRACK ATHLETES QUALIFY FOR AREA
The Birdville Hawk Track team was on fire this past weekend at the District 7-5A Track Meet. The Hawks travelled to the Carrico Stadium at Denton Braswell and after a long day, travelled back with 20 athletes who qualified for Area. To be an Area qualifier an athlete has to finish in the top 4 in their event.

The girls had 12 individuals qualify in 8 events. Four athletes qualified in multiple events. Eden Brooks and Heaven Walker helped the Hawks qualify in two events, while Laney Barron and Brianna Crump secured Areas for the Hawks in three different events. The boys were able to head to Area in 5 events with a total of 8 athletes helping them get there. Three gentlemen qualified in two events, Lamar Leggins, Danny Acho and Grant Pekurney.
